The Winfield USD 465 Foundation endowment funds enhance academic, fine arts, vocational, and general programs for which funding is not otherwise available through normal tax revenues.
 
Located at 605 College in Winfield, KS on the historic Baden Square, the Winfield Public Library has had the honor of serving the local community for nearly 100 years.  Dedicated to providing materials and opportunities for life-long learning, the library offers a wide range of programs and services.
 
Winfield Recreation Center is located at 624 College.  The recreation center has a fitness center that has a cardiovascular area, a 14 station paramount equipment area, and a free weight area.  A variety of activities and programs are available year round for all ages including swimming, exercise classes, bus trips, swimming, and youth/adult basketball, soccer, baseball, softball leagues.
 
Purchased from Chetopah, Chief of the Osage, in January 1870, Colonel E. C. Manning chose the Winfield Town Company site in the Walnut River Valley “for its general beauty, pure water, abundant wildlife and fertile river bottom soil.” Situated between Timber Creek and the Walnut River, Winfield is surrounded by blue stem country and is located in the heart of the Kansas Flint Hills.
 
 The Mission of the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce is to advance the economic and community development of the greater Winfield and Cowley County area through leadership, education, and advocacy.
