USD 465 Policy/Procedures Breakfast/Lunch Charges
Parents will receive an automated alert phone message once a breakfast/lunch account balance falls below .01 cent. Automated alert phone messages will continue each day until payment is made. The building secretary will monitor account balances that fall below a negative $25.00 on a daily basis. The building principal, secretary, or social worker will contact parents to notify parents when meal charges have exceeded - $25.00. Students with more than 5 charges will receive a minimal meal for 5 days (lunch only) until charges are paid in full. A minimal meal consists of the following: sandwich, fruit, and milk. Once the student has exceeded 5 days of receiving a minimal meal, students will no longer be allowed to eat breakfast or lunch until the balance of the account is paid OR the students may pay for breakfast/lunch with cash on a daily basis. A parent will be contacted when a student is no longer allowed to eat due to excessive meal charges.

Winfield Public Schools Menus on Nutrislice

Winfield Public Schools in partnership with Chartwells K12, publish breakfast and lunch menu’s through Nutrislice. – An interactive website and a free smartphone app. Our school community can access our menus anywhere, anytime! Click on the apple for the menus or see below for website and menu app information.

 USING THE WEBSITE:   *users must open in Chrome

1. Select the grade level of your school.

2. Select the school menu you wish to view.

3. Once within the site, you will see the menu is interactive. If you hover over a food, you will be able to see an image and a description.



If you prefer to use the smartphone app, download School Lunch by Nutrislice from Google Play for Androids or the App Store for iPhones.

1. Select Winfield Unified School District, KS.

2. Select the grade level, school and then the school menu you wish to view.

3. Once within the menu, you will be defaulted to the current day. You can select a food to find its description.
