Winfield Patrons, The Governor's announcement today to delay the start of school until after Labor Day, took us all by surprise! However, I see it as a blessing. This allows us more time to make our final plans while educating the community and enrolling students. More importantly this gives our staff additional time to plan for educating our students. There are several special board meetings planned to address the needs of the district. Additionally, we plan on examining the calendar adjustments needed with WNEA, when we see what exactly the executive order includes. Your patience and grace are much appreciated!
