Winfield High School has unveiled its newly revamped records board, designed by the school's Athletic Director, John Kaufman, and crafted by local business, Cardinal Signs. This initiative was born out of a need to address space constraints and to align with the school's new branding efforts.
A Fresh Look for Winfield High School
John Kaufman emphasized the importance of the new design, stating: “They were running out of room and needed a solution on what to do. I wanted something that was cleaner, easier to read, and matched the districts new branding efforts.”
The records board now features black stickers for boys' championships and white stickers for girls' championships, making it easy for students and staff to distinguish between the two. The improvements have been well-received by the school community, who appreciate the clarity and accessibility of the new setup.
Collaborative Design Process
The collaboration between John Kaufman and Heather from Cardinal Signs was pivotal in bringing the project to life. Heather explained: “Cardinal Sign has been talking with John for some time about cleaning up the sports records - partly because of space on the gym walls and also a way to sustain the records in a more cost-effective way.”
Together, they explored various design options. Their goal was to produce a board that the staff and students could take pride in, while also remaining economically sensible.
