In an exciting showcase of talent and perseverance, Country View Elementary proudly captured the championship title in the small school division at the prestigious Arcademics Grand Prix Cup! Over 6,000 students from around the globe competed, answering a staggering 4 million questions. Yet, it was the brilliant minds of Country View's team that shone brightest, answering over 73,000 problems with an impressive 96% accuracy rate.
The Country View team, comprised of Jon Ball, Brad Coleman, Graham Lawrence, Easton Mayo, Evelyn McGuire, and Jack Pressnall, scored a remarkable 71,432 points, outpacing the second-place team by a whopping 12,098 points, who scored 59,334 points. This incredible achievement earns Country View not only a wanted spot on the leaderboard but also a plethora of rewards including a trophy, a subscription, and, of course, a celebratory pizza party!
The competition revolves around a high-speed, high-stakes multiplication game, where students race against peers from across the globe. Points are awarded for team totals, individual scores, fastest times, and consecutive correct answers. The intense focus and quick reflexes of Country View's team members truly set them apart.

10th Place: Jon Ball – Averages 43 problems per minute with 97% accuracy. Jon receives a certificate, pizza, and a virtual ribbon on his game account.
6th Place: Easton Mayo – Averages 50 problems per minute with 98% accuracy. Easton is awarded a certificate, pizza, and a virtual ribbon.
3rd Place: Jack Pressnall – Averages 48 problems per minute with 98% accuracy. Jack earns a certificate, pizza, a virtual ribbon, and a trophy.
Correct In A Row:
Champion for all 5th graders: Graham Lawrence with 2,860 consecutive correct answers, earning him the title of Champion. With a rate of 53 problems per minute and 98% accuracy, Graham receives a certificate, pizza, a virtual ribbon, a year subscription, a trophy, and a Kindle Fire tablet. Impressively, he ranked 5th overall among all students competing that day!
Coach Julie Konrade expressed, "I am very proud of them. They worked hard. Every night for about three weeks they do the game for homework. I am overjoyed for them!.” “Graham has really grown so much as a student. He is the type of student that you would want in every class, focused and determined to be the best he can be.
